Spencer Cotton, a freelance photographer based in Brooklyn, New York, started taking photos to support his graphic design degree at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Inspired by travel, skate and street photography, Cotton now specialises in commercial, editorial and lifestyle photography, and spent three years working with Nike and its Nike Run Club before going on to work with Apple, Land Rover USA, Samsung, Heineken and Clarks. More recently, Cotton has been documenting the streets of New York during its imposed lockdown, taking photographs in response to the coronavirus crisis, and will present the works in a virtual art exhibition in association with quarterly publication Soft Punk magazine.
